Lordship Salvation

Am I missing something, or is this Lordship Salvation a useless argument over words? There has to be proof in the pudding. That is why God saves us at all.

But I had concern for My holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations wherever they went. “Therefore say to the house of Israel, ‘Thus says the Lord God : “I do not do this for your sake, O house of Israel, but for My holy name’s sake, which you have profaned among the nations wherever you went. And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I am the Lord ,” says the Lord God , “when I am hallowed in you before their eyes. For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.  Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God. Then you will remember your evil ways and your deeds that were not good; and you will loathe yourselves in your own sight, for your iniquities and your abominations. Not for your sake do I do this, ” says the Lord God , “let it be known to you. Be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel!”
Ezekiel 36:21‭-‬28‭, ‬31‭-‬32 NKJV

There are only two kinds of trees. Good and evil, the flesh and the Spirit, and both are evident by their fruit.

You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?  Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.  A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.  Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.  Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
Matthew 7:16‭-‬20 NKJV

So what does that fruit look like?

Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Galatians 5:19‭-‬21 NKJV

Or...

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who  are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
Galatians 5:22‭-‬24 NKJV

It is not that we make Jesus Lord, as He is already Lord of all, but we glorify Him as Lord. We glorify God as God, the ABSOLUTE SOVEREIGN WHO DOES ALL HIS WILL, and we glorify Him as such. This is the result of regeneration, and the night and day difference between wrath and peace.

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
Romans 1:18‭-‬21 NKJV

Worship or Abomination

The ONLY worship that God accepts is that which is done in spirit and truth, which is broken and contrite humility before the Creator, glorifying God as God. ALL other worship, church directives, temple ordinances, or sacrifices are an ABOMINATION before the Lord of which He will demand recompense. If we are not worshipping God His way it is not only not OK, but it is an abomination that we will be held accountable for.

Thus says the Lord : "Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool; what is the house that you would build for me, and what is the place of my rest? All these things my hand has made, and so all these things came to be, declares the Lord . But this is the one to whom I will look: he who is humble and contrite in spirit and trembles at my word. "He who slaughters an ox is like one who kills a man; he who sacrifices a lamb, like one who breaks a dog's neck; he who presents a grain offering, like one who offers pig's blood; he who makes a memorial offering of frankincense, like one who blesses an idol. These have chosen their own ways, and their soul delights in their abominations; I also will choose harsh treatment for them and bring their fears upon them, because when I called, no one answered, when I spoke, they did not listen; but they did what was evil in my eyes and chose that in which I did not delight."
Isaiah 66:1-4 ESV

Marriage and Polygamy After Death

I have heard this verse used to support polygamy, but it actually destroys the idea. According to the law the brother would marry his deceased brother's wife SO THAT HIS FAMILY LINE MIGHT CONTINUE. That is the reason given here.
The same day Sadducees came to him, who say that there is no resurrection, and they asked him a question, saying, "Teacher, Moses said, 'If a man dies having no children, his brother must marry the widow and raise up offspring for his brother.' Now there were seven brothers among us. The first married and died, and having no offspring left his wife to his brother. So too the second and third, down to the seventh."
Matthew 22:23-26 ESV
The first main point here is that the brother was DECEASED. The covenant is ended at death.
For a married woman is bound by law to her husband while he lives, but if her husband dies she is released from the law of marriage.
Romans 7:2 ESV
Any marriage between a married man or woman is adultery, period. Furthermore, any attempt to say that these things are void because of eternal marriage is plainly made erroneous by Jesus. The validation of the Sadducees' question was well founded if there were to be in marriage or family in Heaven. If the woman was married(sealed), to multiple men, whose wife would she be?
But Jesus answered them, "You are wrong, because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven."
Matthew 22:29-30 ESV
Jesus not only plainly tells them there is NO MARRIAGE in Heaven, but He tells them that they obviously don't understand the Scriptures or the power of God. No marriage in the afterlife, yet alone no polygamy.

The Reprobate and the Elect

The issue is not whether or not you KNOW that there is "ONLY ONE GOD IN ALL OF EXISTENCE", for such a fact CANNOT be denied.

You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!
James 2:19 NKJV

It is also an illusion that any man can "accept Jesus into their heart"or "make Jesus Lord of their life". Jesus IS LORD over EVERY life, WITHOUT exception. Is what does happen is that the regenerate person is changed, and he glorifies God as God. Herein is the line drawn between the elect and the reprobate, between salvation and abiding under God's wrath.

Romans 1:20-21 NKJV

What then does it look like to glorify God as God?!

Sacrifice and offering You did not desire; My ears You have opened. Burnt offering and sin offering You did not require. Then I said, “Behold, I come; In the scroll of the book it  is written of me. I delight to do Your will, O my God, And Your law is  within my heart.”
Psalms 40:6-8 NKJV

This is the work of God alone as Jesus is manifest in our lives through the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit. This is what "the remission of sins" looks like.

Rules and Ordinances

Did you know that there is plain and clear Scripture where we are commanded to NOT observe rules and ordinances?! If your denomination or church says things like "You can't play cards. You can't dance. You have to get married in the temple. You can't drink caffeine. You have to worship on Saturday. You have to worship on Sunday. You have to... blah, blah, blah. You can't... blah, blah, blah." You might want to read this section of Scripture. Such things are man made religion, and have nothing to do with Christ.

And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.  Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ. Let no one disqualify you, insisting on asceticism and worship of angels, going on in detail about visions, puffed up without reason by his sensuous mind, and not holding fast to the Head, from whom the whole body, nourished and knit together through its joints and ligaments, grows with a growth that is from God.  If with Christ you died to the elemental spirits of the world, why, as if you were still alive in the world, do you submit to regulations— “Do not handle, Do not taste, Do not touch” (referring to things that all perish as they are used)—according to human precepts and teachings? These have indeed an appearance of wisdom in promoting self-made religion and asceticism and severity to the body, but they are of no value in stopping the indulgence of the flesh.
Colossians 2:13‭-‬23 ESV

The Trinity in Scripture

I have heard the foolish explanation that the Hebrew word Elohim that Moses uses here in Genesis proves that there are multiple gods.

Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
Genesis 1:26 NKJV

You MUST use Scripture to interpret Scripture just as you MUST use math to interpret math. Google the substitution method for a prime example.

Listen. Moses wrote Genesis, and Deuteronomy. Either Moses what a man with serious dementia, or he was consistent in his theology and knowledge of God. Obviously the later must be true, else you might as well throw your Bible in the garbage. Since the later is true, we can safely use this verse to interpret Genesis 1:26.

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord  is one!"
Deuteronomy 6:4 NKJV

Sola Scriptura is a MUST in order to abide in Truth. The Triune God is ABSOLUTELY in Scripture.

John 3:17

OK... What is John 3:17 saying?

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
John 3:17 NKJV

The entire world is currently under condemnation, for all have sinned. The purpose of the Law is to make ALL guilty and condemned before God so that NO FLESH may glory before Him.

Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Romans 3:19-20 NKJV

EVERY MOUTH has been stopped, and all are condemned to Hell. This is just, fair, and righteous for ALL have sinned.

When Jesus came to the earth in the form of a man He had come specifically to redeem His people, those the Father has loved from the foundation of the world. This redemption is COMPLETE, NOT potential. All that the Father will call to Jesus will believe, and they are saved from the condemnation.

Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.
Romans 8:30 NKJV
