Children of God

I hear the phrase "we are all children of God" often. This sounds good, but it fails as truth when tested against the Word.

All souls are God's is a true statement.

“Behold, all souls are Mine; The soul of the father As well as the soul of the son is Mine; The soul who sins shall die."
Ezekiel 18:4 NKJV

Not all souls are children of God. Only those who come to Christ, (not by the will of blood, nor the will of the flesh, nor the will of man, but BY GOD), are given the right to BECOME children of God. It is the BECOMING that indicates leaving one state, namely NOT being children of God, and entering a new state, namely being a child of God.

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
John 1:12-13 NKJV

Don't just say stuff because it sounds good or it is what you have always been told. Test EVERYTHING against the Word, then speak the Truth (the Word).
