Every Knee Shall Bow

It is so sad how "self" completely renders us as subjective. God says His people die from lack of knowledge. We try to filter through the Word subjectivity, which does not allow the Truth to change us but rather we try to change it to fit us. What God has done in me over the last four years is a direct result of my loss of self. It was when I accepted that Jesus IS the Word, that the Bible IS the infallible Word of God, and thee ONLY absolute in creation.

Matthew 24:35 NKJV

"Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away."

It was to make Jesus, the Word, my Lord and God. It was time to humble myself in complete submission before the living God. From that point forward ANYTHING that crosses the Word of God, the very creative power of the Universe, is rendered false and a lie. This is a necessary requirement to call Jesus Lord. To not do so is an oxymoron and a lie.

With this view the Word revealed so many things in me that were lies, and completely melted away all of the religious BS put there by being raised in a Christian environment. For the first time in my life, Jesus was really Lord. I take every single Word of the infallible Word of God to the bank, and throw every ounce of my being into it's trustworthiness.

Not only does the Word melt away and reveal all lies in my own heart, but also every other lie in all of creation. If there is anything that does not agree with the Bible, IT MUST FOLD IN SUBMISSION for EVERY KNEE WILL BOW TO HIM. All things must submit to the Word. If they don't, they are exposed for the lie that they are. This is how I evaluate every part of my life, through Jesus, my Lord, my God, and my Hope. He is my everything, and so my life should prove it. Regardless of how bad I want to believe a thing, if it opposes Him I must choose whom I will serve. If Jesus is my LORD, then by definition I must submit to the Word's authority over my life.

Either Jesus is who He says He is, or I am to fall flat on my face. All praise be to Him who makes me stand, for He promises we will not be ashamed. He will surely catch and lift up the ones whose trust is entirely in the Word, namely Jesus.

Either God is sovereign and THE MOST HIGH as the Bible says He is, which means that the Bible is EXACTLY the way a SOVEREIGN God desires it to be, or He is not the Almighty.

What do we choose to believe? God, or ourselves?

I read the lyrics to this song, and I am compelled to stand in the gap for truth.

https://www.lds.org/music/text/hymns/if-you-could-hie-to-kolob

If all of the "gods" were created, then where did they come from?

What if I dare propose this food for thought...

The God of the Bible is eternal. No beginning, and no end, by definition. In fact, the Jesus of the Bible is eternal.

John 8:58 NKJV

Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”

Revelation 1:8 NKJV

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

In the Bible the angels are created beings, and they are called "the sons of God".

Job 1:6 NKJV

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord , and Satan also came among them.

To me it is plainly obvious that the God of the Bible is the eternal and great "I AM", and that the god of the Book of Mormon is not the same God. The God of the Bible, Jesus, is the source of all things that stands outside and above the gods of the Book of Mormon. That being said, the god of the Book of Mormon not being the Most High by definition, would be one of the created beings, one of "the sons of God".

Is this not logical reasoning based on the Word?

Did you know?! You should.

If a person is to be judged for their sin, then none would be saved. We are born into sin, completely depraved from birth. We do not sin because we choose to. We sin because it is who we are. Because we are sinners, haters of God from the moment we are born, God gives us over to the filth in our heart.

Romans 1:21-22, 24-26 NKJV

...because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature.

Habakkuk 1:11 NKJV

"Then his mind changes, and he transgresses; He commits offense, Ascribing this power to his god.”

Ephesians 2:1-2 NKJV

And you He  made  alive,  who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience...

If we could just quit sinning on our own, Jesus never would have had to hang on the cross nor send the Holy Spirit to enable us to do what we cannot. Don't be deceived. Just as it is God who gives us over, it is also Him who works in us once we are filled with His Spirit.

Philippians 2:13 NKJV

...for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

We can NEVER be "good enough" or "DO" anything to be "better". Without the Holy Spirit, we are SLAVES to sin. We have no say in the matter. Sin dwells in us. Only with the Holy Spirit are we made free from sin, being given a choice, and made bond servants of Christ.

Romans 6:17-18 NKJV

But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.

This is why a person will not go to hell for their sin, but for their unbelief. Without the Holy Spirit we are but the walking dead, destined to die again. Life only comes to those through faith.

Habakkuk 2:4 NKJV

“Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith."

Hebrews 10:38 NKJV

"Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.”

You cannot be "good" and quit sinning. That is a lie from the pit of Hell. Turn to the Lord in FAITH, and be saved! All else is empty garbage.

Ephesians 2:8-9 NKJV

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it  is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

To the Chosen Saint

If God has filled you with His Spirit, the very guarantee of salvation, then you should know that He has done so for a specific purpose.

Isaiah 61:1 NKJV

“The Spirit of the Lord God  is upon Me, Because the Lord  has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those  who  are bound..."

It is not you who saves, for only God can do that. You are being sent into the lost world looking for Jesus' lost sheep, commanded to feed them with the Word.

John 21:15-17 NKJV

So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?” He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He said to him, “Feed My lambs.” He said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He said to him, “Tend My sheep.” He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep."

As you go forth in Jesus' name, serving Him who called you, know that not all will receive you.

Matthew 22:14 NKJV

“For many are called, but few are chosen.”

In fact, MANY will hate you for the truth you speak. Love them all, but so not take their salvation personally. That is between them and God. If you are rejected, do as Jesus commanded, and keep looking for those whom Jesus has chosen.

Matthew 10:13-15 NKJV

"If the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.  And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet.  Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!"

Stay the course, and let God be God Saint.

To My Mormon Friends That I Love

If I told you that I saw Abraham Lincoln, that we had dinner together, and that He told me some special things to share with the world, would you believe me? I would hope not.

Any sane and rational person would say that such a thing were impossible because of the facts. Abraham Lincoln is dead. Since he is dead it is impossible to have such an experience. Logic, not rocket science.

So... I have a question for you. I have MANY friends who believe a similar story, and you know who you are. I come to you in love with this, simply because I care. At least think about it, please. I don't care about the "religion", for I hate religion. I do care about you though.

Joseph Smith declared that he had seen the Father, and his religion is largely founded on this. His statement is a lie, for such a thing is impossible. Just logic, not rocket science. Here are the facts:

1. NO ONE HAS SEEN THE FATHER.
- John 1:18 NKJV
"No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him."
- John 6:46 NKJV
"Not that anyone has seen the Father, except He who is from God; He has seen the Father."

2. GOD IS SPIRIT, MAKING HIM INVISIBLE, AND WE EXIST IN HIM.
- John 4:24 NKJV
"God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
- Colossians 1:15-17 NKJV
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.
- Acts 17:28
...for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’

3. IF ANYONE IS TO SEE THE FATHER, THEY MUST SEE HIM ONLY THROUGH JESUS, FOR JESUS IS GOD AND THE EXPRESSED IMAGE OF THE FATHER.
- John 14:7-11
“If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.”
Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.”
Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves."

I know full well that I will not convince you of anything my friend. My only hope is that by me sharing the truth with you that perhaps the Holy Spirit will bear witness in your heart, bringing you to the Truth. Let NO MAN deceive you. The God of the Bible is made manifest within the Word, and if ANYONE tells you anything different be very afraid. If the very foundations of Joseph Smith's testimony is based on a lie that could never happen, what then does that say about the rest of the doctrine? He who has ears, let him hear. I am praying for you.

Sound Doctrine

What I know, no man has taught me. What I have been given has come through revelation from the Holy Spirit, and NO MAN can take it from me. YOU search for the Truth, and you will find it. Let NOBODY teach you. Listen for truth, then you seek it out.

Galatians 1:11-12 NKJV
But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it  came  through the revelation of Jesus Christ.

I John 2:27 NKJV
But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.

I recently heard the word "Gospel" used in tandem with a doctrine stating that children are born without sin. Such a thing is obvious heresy, and must be addressed. All sound doctrine works together like building blocks, creating a solid foundation of faith and understanding. The idea that we are born without sin is in DIRECT conflict with the Word of God, making it an enemy of the Gospel, NOT a building component. If we are born without sin, then the entire premise of the Gospel is compromised and there was no need for the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

We are born into sin.

Psalms 51:5
Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity,
And in sin my mother conceived me.

Romans 3:23
...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,...

It is our innate nature that makes us enemies of God and children of wrath.

Ephesians 2:3
...among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.

Romans 5:12
Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned—

There is nothing good within us. We are innately evil at heart. Selfish to the core.

Genesis 6:5
Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Genesis 8:21
And the Lord smelled a soothing aroma. Then the Lord said in His heart, “I will never again curse the ground for man’s sake, although the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done.

Jeremiah 17:9
“The heart is deceitful above all things,
And desperately wicked;
Who can know it?"

Think about this... Look at a child. Have they learned to bite, to fight, to take, to be selfish, to be greedy? No. They just are that way. It would take a very disillusioned person to look at a child and call them innately good. As parents we have to constantly bring them under correction to encourage sharing, not biting, not hitting, etc. They do not learn to be evil, but they must learn to be good.

We are ALL sinners. There is NOT ONE that is good. We ALL stand under conviction of the law in our depravity. Know the truth. Study the Word for yourself my friend. More hinges on your knowledge of the truth than you may realize.

1 Timothy 4:15-16
Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all.  Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.

Love vs. Law

This is a topic that God is having me meditate on quite a bit lately. A dictator lays out the law and then uses force to create fear, producing adherence to their will. This is how the world sees relationship. You see it everywhere. The powerful lord it over the less fortunate in oppression until there is finally a revolt.

This is not just seen in corporate context, but also in individual context. We have terms like "alpha male" and "alpha female" for the overbearing in each sex, and "the one who wears the pants" in a relationship. These things are praised in our culture, for we are all equally deceived as to how a relationship should function. It is in this deception that our view of God is also distorted.

Because we have a tainted view of relationships, and do not know or understand true love, we assume that God functions in this same dysfunctional manner. We view the Law of God as something laid down by a cruel dictator, and listen for the cracking of lightening being sent from Heaven to strike those who fail to bend to His will. If God were anything like us, then surely He would squash us like bugs for not bending to His will.

When Jesus came, he brought a whole new idea with Him. Those of us that belong to Him hear His Word, and we obey. We do not obey out of fear, but rather out of relationship. This is the Gospel of the Kingdom. Through KNOWING the love that God has for us, of which He FIRST loved us, we then have a desire to love Him.

When we begin to know God, understanding what He has done for us, and what He desires, we are transformed, and so is every relationship we have a part in. This is why we are a "new creation", we begin to function and be different from how the rest of the world sees things and believes. It is not because we are better rule followers, or because we are better people, but rather because we know love and relationship.

This understanding then transcends everything we do, think, say, and believe. As a parent I am no longer interested in "laying down the law", and making sure my children do what I think they should. Instead, I live out my faith and relationship with God, and I love my children. I focus on the relationship, building something that will last through whatever we may endure in life together, knowing that from that relationship they will have trust in my direction and love for them.

With our spouse, the need for our "right" dissipates, and I am not concerned about who is "wearing the pants". I can serve my wife faithfully, striving to know her and build a relationship with her, because I know that it is that relationship that will hold us together when the challenges of life are difficult.

Love Over Everything. This life is ALL about relationships, and this understanding comes from forming a working relationship with the living God. This should be our focus, and then the fruit of this relationship will pour out into our lives. This is the Gospel. This is what Jesus has done for us. He has opened the gates to Heaven, and no man can close what He has opened. Repent and turn to God that you may be healed.

Suicide and Hell

Anonymous Question: I only have one question for you sir. What are your beliefs when it come to someone committing suicide? Do they go straight to hell?

My Answer: I don't believe that they do sir. The Bible describes an all powerful, merciful, just, and loving God who has chosen to love us and save us only because it pleases Him to do so. We are ALL sinners, in which nothing good dwells, and the selfishness in us is the evidence of the sin. God saves whom He wishes, and those He saves EVERY sin is forgiven and forgotten. It is God who saves us, not us who saves us, so no matter what we do God will perform His purpose and pleasure. A saved person who has not come to fully know the love God has for them could very easily kill them self, but God's love for that person is unconditional and will not change no matter what they do. God's love is AMAZING!

Romans 9:11, 13-18 NKJV
(for the children not yet being born, nor having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works but of Him who calls), As it is written, “Jacob I have loved, but Esau I have hated.” What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? Certainly not! For He says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion.” So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy. For the Scripture says to the Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth.” Therefore He has mercy on whom He wills, and whom He wills He hardens.

Daniel 4:35 NKJV
All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; He does according to His will in the army of heaven And among the inhabitants of the earth. No one can restrain His hand Or say to Him, “What have You done?”

Psalms 33:8-12 NKJV
Let all the earth fear the Lord ; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him. For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast. The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect. The counsel of the Lord stands forever, The plans of His heart to all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord , The people He has chosen as His own inheritance.

If you can hear the voice of Lord calling to your heart my friend, it is because He loves you. Not everyone responds to His voice, but those of us who belong to Him do.

John 10:25-27 NKJV
Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father’s name, they bear witness of Me. But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me."

What is a Christian?

I asked Hayden how he could tell who was a Christian the other day, but then I told him not to answer that. I said we should take it one step farther, and asked him what a Christian was. He gave the typical worldly textbook answer, no offense to him because he obviously just didn't know the truth yet, of a Christian being someone who follows Jesus example and strives to live like Him. Though innocent on my son's behalf, this is a sick and corrupt lie. Because I love my son, I told him the truth.

A Christian is a person that the living God has filled with His Holy Spirit. Period. No exceptions. Anything else is just a sugar coated facade.

Ezekiel 36:26-27 NKJV
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.

John 1:12-13 NKJV
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

My Hard Heart

I realize people assume that the changes in my life have something to do with me not wanting to violate my terms of supervision, but this couldn't be the furthest from the truth. I tried to make changes over the past 15 years that would keep me from getting into trouble, and they were never enough. In 2010 I realized that if I changed the very core of my being, who I was, then everything else would become collateral. Not violating my terms of supervision would just be a byproduct, rather than my focus.

I could not believe how bad I had hurt the ones I loved so much. I remember examining my life to see why it was that I had become such a cold and hurtful person. How could I live in such a way that I had no empathy for anyone, and the only one I cared about was me?

As I was processing through this, I came across the truth that I had responded to being hurt in my life in such a manner as to prevent myself from ever being hurt again. I remember when that girlfriend cheated on me, and how I vowed that I would never get hurt like that again. Over and over memories came to mind. Every time I was hurt, I continued to build walls to protect myself. The whole idea of "becoming stronger through my experiences" had ruined me.

As I prevented myself from being hurt, I likewise inhibited my ability to love. I had made it so that no one could get close enough to my heart to ever hurt me like that again. It had worked. My heart was hard, and my life proved it. I had done some horrific things, and to this day the very thought of what I had done brings me to tears. I couldn't even see what my actions were doing. To me, I had been justified in everything I did because of how hard my heart was. It was all about me.

I NEVER wanted to hurt anyone again, ever. This was the motive for the changes in my life. NOT my "freedom". Why did it matter if I was "free", but my life did not add any value to anyone? I would have been better left behind the prison walls. I found that the only way I could bring down the walls around my heart so that I could once again love was if I was able to trust that it would be OK.

I had to believe that God would take care of me. I had always lived with the strong belief that "if I didn't watch out for me, who would?" This was a leap of faith. I had to let go of my fears, and once again make myself vulnerable. Something I was EXTREMELY scared to do. Nobody likes being hurt. I believed that God does love me, that He will look out for me, and that I did not have to worry about myself. In this place of surrender I found love, forgiveness, and was once again given the ability to love.

OBEDIENCE TO...

There is so much talk about being obedient to the Bible, to the Law, to the Word. I think it is EXTREMELY important to address this is issue straight from the Word, and directly through the Gospel. I will try to be as concise as possible, using the Word to interpret itself as to avoid any outside influence, and go through a direct line of thinking. Most of the books in the New Testament address this very issue, so this is nothing new.

The purpose of the Law:

But we know that the law is good if one uses it lawfully, knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, for fornicators, for sodomites, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine, according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God which was committed to my trust.
- 1 Timothy 1:8-11

Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there had been a law given which could have given life, truly righteousness would have been by the law. But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.  But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed. Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.
- Galatians 3:21-25

Jesus and the Law:

"Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.  For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."
- Matthew 5:17-19

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
- Romans 10:4

Faith VS. Law:

But when I saw that they were not straightforward about the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter before them all, “If you, being a Jew, live in the manner of Gentiles and not as the Jews, why do you compel Gentiles to live as Jews? We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.

“But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is Christ therefore a minister of sin? Certainly not! For if I build again those things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. For I through the law died to the law that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.”
- Galatians 2:14-21

For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them." But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.” Yet the law is not of faith, but “the man who does them shall live by them.”
- Galatians 3:10-12

For Moses writes about the righteousness which is of the law, “The man who does those things shall live by them.”
- Romans 10:5

Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. Indeed I, Paul, say to you that if you become circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing. And I testify again to every man who becomes circumcised that he is a debtor to keep the whole law. You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace. For we through the Spirit eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.  For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.
- Galatians 5:1-6

Faith working through love:

Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
- Matthew 22:37-40

“These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.  This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. These things I command you, that you love one another."
- John 15:11-17

Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.
- 1 John 2:3-6

And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment.
- 1 John 3:23

Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.
- James 4:17

If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.
- 1 John 4:20-21

Conclusion:

So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty. For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
- James 2:12-13

LOVE OVER EVERYTHING, and that love is the PROOF of sonship with the living God.

What about Jesus?

People try to go directly to the Father apart from Jesus, but this is not possible. Without the acknowledgement of who Jesus is, one cannot come to the Father. I hear people say things like "your truth", but there is only one Truth and one Way to the Father. Without acknowledging that Jesus Christ is God we cannot come to the Father.

John 14:6 NKJV
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."

The first thing for our finite minds to overcome is the thought that God is a single person, but rather a single entity. The best example I have ever heard was how H2O can be ice, water, and steam yet all still be H2O. The word word Elohim, the first name given to the God of Jacob and Abraham in the Bible, is in it's self plural. In the beginning Elohim created EVERYTHING, and Elohim created man in "their" image.

Genesis 1:1 NKJV
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Genesis 1:9, 26 NKJV
Then God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so. Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;..."

Since Jesus plainly says one cannot see the Father, since He is spirit, who then were we made in the image of other than "the image of the invisible God". Hmm... "INVISIBLE God". "None has seen the Father".

John 1:18 NKJV
"No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him."

John 6:46 NKJV
"Not that anyone has seen the Father, except He who is from God; He has seen the Father."

John 4:24 NKJV
"God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

When Jesus was asked by His disciples to "show" them the Father, He declared that He just had. If anyone is to see the Father, they must see Him in Jesus ONLY.

John 14:7-11

Since "NONE" can see the Father, as He has NO physical form, how were we made in His image? If God made EVERYTHING, yet Jesus also made EVERYTHING, who made EVERYTHING? We then have two other places where it is made clear that Jesus created everything. Either Jesus is God, or the Bible contradicts itself.

John 1:1-3 NKJV
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

Colossians 1:15-17 NKJV
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.

Jesus did not hide this fact either, and was actually crucified for declaring Himself equal with God.

John 8:58 NKJV
Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”

Matthew 26:63-64 NKJV
But Jesus kept silent. And the high priest answered and said to Him, “I put You under oath by the living God: Tell us if You are the Christ, the Son of God!” Jesus said to him, “ It is as you said. Nevertheless, I say to you, hereafter you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.”

John 10:30 NKJV
"I and My Father are one.”

God is infinitely beyond us, but that does not change the truth. Just means we have to trust and believe.

UNFAIR!

I was just thinking about how crazy it is to truly trust God. I feel like I am cheating the system, and that it shouldn't be so easy. Don't I have to be burdened by all of my past regrets, and bear the burden of making sure I am doing what I am supposed to be doing today to make my life what I want it to be? Those are rhetorical questions, but they are the reason why I feel like I am cheating the system. What about all of the weight, fear, and doubt?? Don't I have to have those things in my life??.

I was thinking how unfair it is that I can truly be free from all of that. You know how God answered me? "It is unfair. It is called unmerited favor Osa. I have loved you with an everlasting love, and I pour my grace over you like water just because it pleases me to do so. Rest in that. Find your peace in me, and quit striving."

Over all of my life I see God's divine providence. His hand there, and there, and there, over and over again. Not ever because I was doing anything necessarily "good". In fact, most of my life has been lived in complete rebellion, but He was always there none-the-less. When I needed correction and redirection, He was no less showing His love and mercy then too.

My life is not my own. However, I am not cheating the system by trusting God, for the punishment for all of the wrongs I have done is indeed due and God would be unjust to simply turn a blind eye. Another bore the judgment due me, and because of His sacrifice I have been put into a place of unfair grace and mercy. All of my sins have been forgiven and forgotten, FOREVER. I am justified, made right, ONLY because of my faith.

God has called me, and He has a plan for me that is beyond anything I can imagine. If He so freely gave His own Son to pay the ransom for my life and soul so that I could be free, why would He withhold any good thing from me? He wouldn't. In His love I rest. In His love I live. I am truly free and alive, and God will be glorified in me for that is His good pleasure. What an amazing gift God has given to us who put our trust in the name of Jesus. So simple, yet so beyond us.

TRY NOT TO TRY

The reality of the Gospel goes against everything we know. AFTER we have tried our hardest, AFTER we have done our best, maybe then we will find the proper humility before the God who holds the universe in the palm of His hand. God will not give us the impossible because we have done anything to obtain it, but rather HE will do the impossible because we have nothing to do with it.

We want to strive, to fight, and to hit the mark, but the more we try the more we realize that we can never hit that mark. We are ALL sinners though, and we will NEVER hit that mark. It seems we must each come to the end of our self before we finally accept that only God can do what we cannot. Even under the banner of the Lord we still foolishly strive, placing confidence in our own abilities.

God is God, and His will stands forever. Our ONLY focus should be to humble ourselves before Him and man through faith. Everything was created for His glory.

Romans 11:36

For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.

Colossians 1:16

For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.

Since everything was created by Him, for Him, through Him, and to Him, is it any surprise that God will not share His glory with another? God will resist our futile efforts until we come to a place of humble surrender.

Isaiah 42:8-9 NKJV

"I am the Lord , that is My name; And My glory I will not give to another, Nor My praise to carved images. Behold, the former things have come to pass, And new things I declare; Before they spring forth I tell you of them.”

Isaiah 48:11

"For My own sake, for My own sake, I will do it;
For how should My name be profaned?
And I will not give My glory to another."

This is the very glorious truth of the Gospel!! God in us, moving according to His good pleasure, to perform His will in our lives. Let us do our part and humble ourselves before the Lord, and let Him do His part and glorify His great Name by lifting us up! Try not to try.

Romans 1:16-17

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”

2 Corinthians 3:18

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

ONE THING IS NEEDED!!!!!!!

“Embrace surrender”… That is absolutely what He is driving home right now, and then the truth of the Gospel… God in us. We can of ourselves do nothing, yet He can do everything through us. I have found that church can be such a scary place because it is easy to get caught up in the commandments of men, and the serving of God in the flesh rather than the serving of God through the Spirit.

If we read the Bible and say “I am going to do that, or this”, then we are in the flesh. All things done in the flesh are antichrist, and we must fight to maintain them as the work is from within ourselves. The things that are done in the Spirit are done in faith, through full surrender unto the Father in Jesus’ name, and are done in peace. These God maintains.

It is the Gospel that says God will do it for us, for it is impossible for us. Jesus tore the veil between us and the presence of the Almighty, and the Holy Spirit has been poured out on us. We are to be empty vessels useable to the Lord as we are living sacrifices in Jesus’ name. Chosen vessels of mercy is what we are, according to the purpose of His own plan from the foundation of the world.

We stand open before Him in complete humility, and He does everything for us. I just feel the utmost urgency to speak the truth of the Word that the Lord has given me. ALL things are His, and He is absolutely sovereign. We are nothing, and He is everything.

I keep saying “In Jesus name”, because the Holy Spirit is telling me that this is the missing part of knowledge His people need. In the verse in Matthew 4:19. Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” I have heard a focus on the “fishers of men”, and the making of disciples. This is the wrong focus. The focus should be the “follow me”, because it is Him who will MAKE us fishers of men. If our focus is to be the following him, then what does that look like?! How do we make that a reality?!

“Follow me”… It is when we are in the Spirit of Christ, in Jesus’ name, that the Holy Spirit writes the Word on our hearts and mind. If we read the Word and simply try to obey, we will find that we cannot.

It is obvious that as we follow Jesus, speaking the truth of God and the Gospel of the Kingdom, that not all will be able to fully grasp or comprehend, but just as He did, so must we speak the same regardless. What God chooses to do within a person with His Word is not our business.

When we make war against the enemy, we make war in our own hearts against the taint of Satan that is in our hearts. This is where the Kingdom suffers violence, for the Kingdom of God is within us. This is where we put on the armor and get to business.

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.
-         Matthew 11:12

Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”
-         Luke 17:20-21

As we make war, taking the Kingdom by force as we surrender to the love and grace of our God, we are sanctified and made usable by the King. As we are consumed by the Kingdom, kept by the power of the Spirit, God Himself moves through us as we walk in humility. This should be the focus of every man. “Follow me”.

Let us put on our armor, take up our cross, lay down our lives as living sacrifices before the Almighty God, and let Him make disciples through us. Make war to crucify our flesh my brother. Let us make our call and election sure!!

And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
-         Galations 5:24-25

Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
-         2 Peter 1:10-11

Just as we cannot just muster up love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness or self-control, neither can we produce disciples or bare fruit. BOTH of these are done by God Himself, and are FRUIT of the Spirit.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
-         Galations 5:22-23

“As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
-         John 15:4

The bearing of fruit is done by the Spirit, and is the evidence of the Spirit. Jesus CHOSE us and He has appointed us to bear fruit, and so we shall. Remember… HE WILL MAKE us fishers of men.

“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.”
-         John 15:16

Those who do not bear fruit, which is the evidence of not abiding in Christ, will be take away.

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you.”
-         John 15:1-3

But knowing that God will finish what HE has started in us, we are NOT those who fall back to perdition. We will fight the good fight of faith, and not love our lives to the end.

 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;
-         Philippians 1:6

But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.
-         Hebrews 10:39

Now, awaken your soul my friends, and remember who you are. Remember to whom you belong, and press in for all that you are worth. We are in this together, and we are one in spirit with the Lord Himself. All praise be to the Lord who has called us. Only ONE thing is needed!! Let us give all we have for this one thing!!

“But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.”
-         Luke 10:42

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls,  who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.
-         Matthew 13:45-46

I KNOW He will glorify His name in us, for He is God of ALL.

The Kingdom of God

When Jesus Christ was crucified, the veil that separated us from the holy of holies was torn. Prior to His sacrifice, none could enter into God’s presence except for the high priest, and then only once a year for atonement.

Now when these things had been thus prepared, the priests always went into the first part of the tabernacle, performing the services. But into the second part the high priest went alone once a year, not without blood, which he offered for himself and for the people’s sins committed in ignorance; the Holy Spirit indicating this, that the way into the Holiest of All was not yet made manifest while the first tabernacle was still standing. It was symbolic for the present time in which both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make him who performed the service perfect in regard to the conscience— concerned only with foods and drinks, various washings, and fleshly ordinances imposed until the time of reformation.

But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

- Hebrews 9:6-15

Jesus preached the gospel of the Kingdom of God. He said to repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven was at hand. Jesus came to bring the Kingdom of God to us.

From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

- Matthew 4:17

The Kingdom of God is not something to be observed, but rather is within us. This is a true statement, because the Holy Spirit of the Living God comes to reside within us. In the presence of God Himself is the Kingdom of Heaven.

Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”

- Luke 17:20-21

Before Jesus death it was not possible for us to directly commune with God, hence God’s elect awaited the coming of the Messiah in Abraham’s bosom. There are those who must declare this to be a parable, but Jesus always used terms like “it is like” and never gave names in His parables. Jesus tells this a point blank fact using specific names.

So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

“Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’ But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented. And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.’

- Luke 16:22-26

Jesus told us that He would not leave us to do this on our own, but that He would send the Holy Spirit for us. It is the very indwelling of the Holy Spirit that is the Kingdom of God within us. When the veil was torn, we could then finally enter into the Kingdom of God, into Heaven and the very throne room of the Almighty.

“And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.

“A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.

- John 14:16-20

But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before,

“This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,” then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.

- Hebrews 10:15-17

Knowing that He was removing all separation from God, reconciling us to Himself, He knew the gates of Heaven would be forever open to the sons of God. This was not some future thing to take place, but Jesus knew it would happen as soon as He finished His work. He told the thief on the cross next to Him this in no uncertain terms.

But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.” Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.”

And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

- Luke 23:40-43

Jesus death removed the veil, and the very proclamation of His teaching that the Kingdom of God was at hand was made manifest on the day of Pentecost when Jesus fulfilled His promise to send the Holy Spirit. From that day forward it is the very presence of the Living God within us that enables us to walk according to the will of God. This is the very act of salvation. We pass from death unto life.

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God. I will deliver you from all your uncleannesses. I will call for the grain and multiply it, and bring no famine upon you.

- Ezekiel 36:26-29

When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

- Acts 2:1-4

‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,
That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your young men shall see visions,
Your old men shall dream dreams.
And on My menservants and on My maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days;
And they shall prophesy.
I will show wonders in heaven above
And signs in the earth beneath:
Blood and fire and vapor of smoke.
The sun shall be turned into darkness,
And the moon into blood,
Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.
And it shall come to pass
That whoever calls on the name of the Lord
Shall be saved.’

- Acts 2:17-21

The Holy Spirit is our umbilical that directly links us to Heaven. To be filled with the Holy Spirit is to have the gates of Heaven eternally open to us.

Open the gates,
That the righteous nation which keeps the truth may enter in.
You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.

- Isaiah 26:2-3

Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.
So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.

- 2 Corinthians 5:5-8

To die is to go directly to Heaven via the Holy Spirit that lives within us. For this very reason Jesus says we will never die. We may leave this body, but the eternal life is already complete.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

- John 11:25-26

Broken Home

I am a single father, and both of my children currently are suffering the consequences of my failures as they are being raised in broken homes. They both live with their mothers, but I make every effort to be as involved in their lives as I possibly can. I see my daughter nearly every day, and she stays the night with me a couple days a week. My son doesn’t like to stay with me because he is 12, and has his own routine at home.

I know that my son is at the age that he is ready for me to really disciple him, and help him grow into the man God made him to be. I must be diligent to pour into his life, and thankfully his mother desires for me to do so. Being a father is a huge responsibility before God, and I know that He will hold me accountable for how I manage this great task. Just as my son needs me to disciple him and teach him how to be a man, I know that my role in my daughter’s life is just as important. She needs my love and affection.

I am setting the standard, and raising the banner for my children. The world is so concerned about our children’s education, their self-esteem, and their future ability to earn an income that the most important things are absolutely ignored. Is there really anything greater we can teach our children than the knowledge they need for salvation, character, and what life and love should look like?

There are times that the weight of what they are going through is heavy on my heart. Right now they are so confused about what love is, about what family should be, about what the roles of a wife and mother are, and the roles of what a father and husband are. My heart breaks even as I type this. I know what the answers are. I know what it should look like. However, in God’s great wisdom He has determined that this is the plan for now.

I know that tomorrow isn’t even promised though. Each day I rest in the sovereignty and great love of the living God. I know that if I will lay my life down to Him in Jesus name that He will show Himself powerful on my behalf. My children are worth dying for. I am willing to trust the Lord and lay down my life. I believe the promises God makes. Not only do I believe them, but I see His hand in their lives. There is no doubt that God is present in my family.

“As for Me,” says the Lord, “this is My covenant with them: My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants’ descendants,” says the Lord, “from this time and forevermore.”
-Isaiah 59:21

The desires of my heart are to be married, preferably to my daughter’s mother, and to have a family that glorifies God. God has demanded me to continue to love my daughter’s mom as Jesus loves the church. Not only do I feel as though He loves her enough to expend my life to reach her, but I know that everyone is watching. The people on the outside want to see what God has done in me, and if He is true, and my children are watching as I show them what a man is called to do. I know that I am the one who is responsible for my family before God, and I do not take my role lightly. A man’s family is his number one ministry.

Faith without works is dead. Jesus says that “only one thing is needed”. I believe Him. I have tried my hardest to make my life and family be what I knew it could on my own, and I failed miserably. I do not want to fail, nor do I want any more regrets. I stand before my God in humility, and cry out to Him day and night to make good on His promises as I follow Jesus for all that I am worth. Only He can do what I cannot. I am but a man.

And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.”
-Luke 10:41-42

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”

-Matthew 6:32-33

Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.
-1 Timothy 4:15-16

“For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. In this you have done foolishly; therefore from now on you shall have wars.”
-2 Chronicles 16:9
